In this talk the smart farming applications will be presented with emphasis on the use of smart machinery and systems, as well as the opportunities and challenges ahead. There will be reference to a number of EU funded projects and other European initiatives.”
报告人简介：
Dr. Spyros Fountas is Editor-in-Chief in the ELSEVIER journal “Computers and Electronics in Agriculture” (IF: 3.858) since 2014 and another new journal “Smart Agricultural Technology”, and Professor at Agricultural University of Athens. He holds an MSc from Cranfield University UK in Information Technology, and PhD from Copenhagen University, Denmark in Systems Analysis on Precision Agriculture. He was also Visiting Scholar at Purdue University, USA. He has participated in 25 European funded projects under H2020 framework, where he has been coordinator in 3 (Smart-AKIS, GATES, OPTIMA). He has 130 papers, and 4050 citations (Google scholar, April 2021).
